MiddleGround

Middleground is a place for youth to belong, be loved... and be a bit crazy. Junior high and high school students are encouraged to be themselves--laughing and joking around, studying the Bible, and asking honest questions of God.

Middleground offers several tools to help teens live out their faith and stay connected 24/7:

On MySpace

Middlegrounders touch base with each other, share music, pics, videos and more at www.myspace.com/touchstonemiddleground.

The Forum

Middlegrounders can share what they're going through in a safe, secure online environment. This is a youth-only forum, which is part of the Touchstone website. Access is granted only to those approved by the moderator.

Sunday Mornings

Every Sunday morning students gather to study the Bible, talk about what it says, what it means, and what that means for us today.

Regular Events

About twice a month, Middlegrounders get together for special events that are either spiritually powerful or just hecka fun!

At these events, Middlegrounders are encouraged to invite friends who might never dream of visiting a church. It's an opportunity to rub shoulders with other teens who've been transformed by God's amazing grace and to get a taste of God's Word. Each event features a casual Bible study, exploring what God tells us about Himself.

Retreats & Mission Trips

Middlegrounders generally go on a winter retreat and a mission trip each year. These prove to be powerful both for spiritual growth and for bonding. This year looks like this:

Middleground in the Mountains. This 3-day retreat at South Lake Tahoe featured hard-core snowball fights, perilous powder plunges (including a collision with a tree (see video below)), Miracle on Ice Bible studies, goofy skits, and mass quantities of food.

Middleground in Mexico. Middlegrounders spent a week in Tecate, Mexico, in July performing skits, sports outreaches, light construction, door-to-door ministry and more. To listen to some of the students' stories click here.

In 2007, Middlegrounders ministered in Tijuana, Mexico. To see students' photos click here. To listen to some of their stories click here.
